Divisions
Developmental Play (Boys & Girl Teams) This division is for club teams or individuals who have experience in volleyball and need to play at a little higher level. For club teams, it would be a good place to develop new players or teams as well as keeping your team active in between tournaments. This division is not club level but is for players who are above beginers level and wish to learn at a higher pace. Games are usually weekdays as well as some Saturdays. This division will have end of season tournament.
Recreational (Coed) The recreational division is for beginners or kids that want to play for fun, equal playing will be granted and teams may be coed. For younger divisions a smaller net will be used and games are best out of three. The games may be on some weekday evenings as well as Saturdays, there will be an 8 week season with no end of season playoff. There will not be a draft and friends and siblings can play on same team. Advanced players are not allowed to play in recreational division unless it is not enough teams to play in one of higher divisions in which case teams would be divided equally.
Competitive Division (Boys & Girls Teams) AZ Youth Volleyball will offer a competitive division, which would consist of coaches/ schools bringing their own teams. Depending on number of sign ups and availible coaches for this division the league will create teams as well. Since this division will be highly competitive, kids signing up for this division should have played at least two seasons of volleyball however, it is not a requirement. Equal playing time in this division is Not guaranteed and teams will be made based on experience. This division will have end of season playoff.
